What I Wore: Concert Edition

Yesterday my boyfriend finally got to give me my birthday present and took me to 91x's xfest here in San Diego! We had such blast discovering new bands and also jamming out to bands we listened to in middle school (Panic! At the Disco is still cool!?). It was so cool running into random friends and just dancing all night!

Here's my make up, hair and outfit that I wore to Xfest 2014!

Make up:

Since xfest is almost an all day event, I wanted to be sure my make up would last through the heat and dancing.

For my face, I started off with Benefit's The Porefessional primer and followed up with my Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 foundation. This combination held up so perfectly together! I then set my make up with my Rimmel Stay Matte powder. Next, I bronzed my skin with my NYC Sun 'n' Bronze and added some color to my cheeks with my Milani baked blush in Luminoso.

For my eyes, I used my Naked 2 and 3 palettes. I used the shadows Strange and Dust all over my lid and the used Chopper in the crease and on the outer corner of my eye. To add a pop of color I used my Maybelline Color Tattoo in the shade Edgy Emerald on my lower lash line. To finish off, I applied my Maybelline's The Rocket mascara, which is my all time favorite!

I loved how simple, yet fun my make up turned out to be. The soft warm tones really brightened up my eyes while the touch of teal complimented the colors on my tank.

Hair:

To achieve my curls, I started by spritzing my hair with my Tresemé Thermal Creations heat protectant and made sure to brush it out evenly. Then, in sections, I used a 1" curing wand and curled 1" pieces of hair. Quick tip, after letting your hair off the wand, hold it for a few seconds before letting it fall. This will keep the curls lasting so much longer! After everything was curled, I finished off with my John Frieda Frizz Ease hair spray.
